How to Convert WMA to MP3
WMA is the default audio format used by Windows Media Player, so it’s common to end up with a library full of WMA files - especially after migrating from a Windows PC. The problem is that WMA has limited support on non-Windows devices, and many music players don’t handle it well. Converting to MP3 solves this: it plays everywhere.
This guide walks you through the process using MDHM Audio Converter, which is free and takes under a minute.
Step 1 - Add your WMA files
Launch MDHM Audio Converter and click Add on the toolbar to browse for files, or drag and drop them straight onto the window.

Step 2 - Select MP3 as the output format
Click the format button (fourth button on the toolbar) to open the format picker.

Step 3 - Configure quality settings
Choose MP3 and set the bitrate, sample rate and channels to your liking. For most music, 320 kbps stereo gives the best result.

Step 4 - Start conversion
Click the Convert button on the right side of the toolbar to begin. You can convert multiple files simultaneously.

Step 5 - Locate converted files
When the conversion finishes, click Locate to open the output folder directly.

That’s it. Your WMA files are now MP3 and ready to use anywhere.
